Method 1: WiFi (The Handy Only)

  1. In your SLR profile, enter your Handy Connection Key
  2. Put on your headset and access SexLikeReal in the DeoVR app (or headset browser)
  3. Play a video from the Interactive Video category
  4. In the video settings, select the desired script
  5. The Handy will connect automatically and notify you once connected

Method 2: Direct Bluetooth Connection (All Sex Toys)

  1. Open the DeoVR app, go to the built-in browser, and visit www.sexlikereal.com. Log in to your account.
  2. Play any video from the Interactive Videos category.
  3. Tap any button to bring up the video playback menu.
  4. Click the Additional Settings icon (on the right side of the menu), then select the Haptics tab and click Connect Devices.
  5. Choose your toy from the list and follow the simple on-screen steps to connect.
  6. That’s it - you’re ready to experience the next level of immersion with synced haptic feedback!

How Do Sex Toys Connect To Interactive Videos At SLR?

SLR uses scripts to control a compatible sex toy to move in sync with what's happening on screen. When the performer moves, the toy moves - matching the speed, depth, and rhythm in real time. Depending on the toy, it can recreate a wide range of sensations.

What’s the Best Sex Toy and Connection Method?

The best setup is The Handy connected via WiFi. It offers the most stable experience and works with both the Handy app and WebXR in VR or mobile browsers.

Bluetooth toys are also supported but may have connection issues. While The Handy can connect via Bluetooth, WiFi is far more reliable.

How To Use Sex Toy With Interactive Videos Offline

For Local Video and Local Script playback

  • The script and the video file need to be renamed EXACTLY the same and in the EXACT same folder with simplified naming schemes, for example:
    • C:\media\video123.mp4
    • C:\media\video123.funscript

Important: When working with Local Files via DLNA, Quest users should Grant Access to Storage for the DeoVR App (folder icon in the top right corner of the Local files browser)

For Streaming Video and Local Script playback

  • Rename the script file to match ONLY the video ID (For Example = 15479.funscript for the Hard Sell video)
  • Place the script file into the “Interactive” folder in either: the root directory on Android devices OR in the root directory of Quest onboard storage OR the “Documents” folder on Windows
  • Stream the video in SLR app

How To Use Your Sex Toy With Interactive Videos On Your Smartphone

Watch this video to see it in action. Follow these instructions:

  • Allow ALL permissions when prompted (Also Turn OFF the 'Remove permissions if app isn't used' option)
  • Turn ON 'Location' and 'Bluetooth' in your phone settings.
  • Click the 'Devices' Tab > Scan to connect your Toy
  • Open Chrome browser on the same device, visit www.sexlikereal.com and Log in
  • Click your SLR profile button -> Click on the 'Connect SLR to HC App' DEEPLINK button
  • Thats it! Now go to the 'BROWSER' tab, Play any SLR Sex Toy Supported Video and Enjoy!

Alternatively, log in to sexlikereal.com in your mobile device browser and click the 'phone + haptic' button under the video.

Toy Playback Tips:

  • Remember to bind your Edging Controls as desired by simply going into Settings > Controller > Haptics tab
  • You can adjust your individual toy specific settings in the player menu Haptics tab

Synchronization Delay Offset

  • Negative (-) values will shift toy movements to begin earlier to match on screen action
  • Positive (+) values will shift toy movements to begin later to match on screen action

For Handy Users:

  • You will need to first press the UP arrow button multiple times on the front of the toy itself to set the stroking range to the maximum. The LED will flash red for a second to let you know when it’s at the maximum range.
  •  Without doing this you may experience short(er) strokes even when the range is set to the maximum value inside the app

What Are Multi-Scripts?

You can now add and choose from multiple scripts per video. This gives users more options and lets creators script any video, even ones that already have a script. Each script is credited to its creator, so it’s easy to find and support your favorites.

To switch scripts mid-playback:

  • Open the right-side options panel
  • Tap the Haptics Settings (toy icon)
  • Open the Script dropdown
  • Choose a new script

How to use The Handy on the Apple Vision Pro

The Handy has full functionality on the Apple Vision Pro when you access the SLR browser hub via the Safari browser. A dedicated AVP SLR app is coming soon. 

  1. Go to sexlikereal.com
  2. Click "Enter VR" and get redirected to the Hub
  3. Go to the desired video
  4. Open settings panel (on the right)
  5. Open Haptics tab
  6. Enter Handy key in haptics tab
  7. Choose script in the same tab

How to use The Autoblow

Autoblow is supported natively at SLR. Here's how to connect Autoblow AI Ultra via WiFi:

  1. Launch the DeoVR App. Type www.sexlikereal.com into the DeoVR browser.
  2. Go to the Settings menu by clicking the gear icon on the taskbar
  3. Navigate to the Haptics tab
  4. Find the Autoblow AI Ultra option and toggle it ON
  5. Enter your connection key and press Connect
  6. Power on your Autoblow device
  7. Now play any scripted video and enjoy!

Additional Tips

If you experience stuttering playback, you may need to turn your device off and on and reconnect in the Haptics Connect app.

Onyx+ Connection Fix

The Onyx+ toy sometimes doesn’t activate properly due to how the device was originally designed years ago. It connects directly to the Quest headset instead of the DeoVR app. Here’s a simple workaround:

  1. Open your Quest settings and pair the Onyx+ with the headset.
  2. Launch the DeoVR app.
  3. Because the Onyx+ is connected directly to the headset, it won’t appear in the app at first.
  4. Relaunch the Onyx+ while staying inside the app.
  5. Go to the app’s device connection section and connect the Onyx+.
  6. Once connected, the Onyx+ will start responding to scripts and manual mode as normal.

Advice For LOVENSE MAX 2 Users

  • Inflation level - setting #5 is maximum tightness
  • Position - Vibration increases intensity when depth reaches the lowest vertical point
  • Position inverse - Vibration increases intensity when depth reaches the highest vertical point
  • Speed - Syncs vibration strength to the actual speed of each stroke
  • (mid stroke = highest vibrations)
  • (top/bottom points = lowest vibrations)
